Wellington Financial Portfolio Company Belair Networks to be acquired by Ericsson

Toronto, Ontario (February 22, 2012) - Wellington Financial LP, a privately-held specialty finance firm, announced today that Wellington Financial Fund III portfolio company, BelAir Networks of Ottawa, Ontario, will be acquired by Ericsson of Stockholm, Sweden.

Ericsson announced on February 21st that it has agreed to acquire 100% of BelAir’s shares. This strategic transaction will accelerate the integration of Wi-Fi and cellular technologies. The acquisition of BelAir will be part of Ericsson’s heterogeneous network strategy to improve the mobile broadband experience by managing the co-existence of mobile technologies and Wi-Fi.

Wellington Financial provided BelAir Networks with $5.5 million of True Growth Capital on December 17th, 2007.
