Gateway Tour Event / Port Lucia River Club

5 February 2009

The whole week felt like we were playing in Canada during the last week of October with wind gusts up to 30mph and temperatures in the 50’s . Maybe there was a Canadian advantage to a top ten finish this week, my goals this week were to  stay patient and except some funny bounces and missed putts.

Having to control the ball flight from 100 yards hitting 5 and 6 irons into gusty winds made it difficult hitting to some extreme green sites on the Niclaus signature design .My goals this week were to stay patient and except some missed putts and focus on being in the “present”. I’ve been having great practice sessions and seeing the results during the off weeks and feeling that I’m really close to that first win of the year!

Cheers
