Goslings Invitational – Day One
1 December 2008Stories were written today despite the windy conditions for Round One of the Goslings Invitational.
Joe Horowitz fired a tremendous -4 under 66 leaving him in first place by one shot over fellow Canadian Tour Player, Danny King who shot a 1 under 69.
Bermuda Open Champion, Brian McCann and fellow Canadian Dennis Hendershot, CEO of the Great Lakes Tour are in joint third after posting even pars for the day. Former PGA Tour Player Mike Donald fired an impressive 1 over 71 despite having to rent clubs as his did not make it to the Island last night. Defending Champion Tim Conley is also on 1 over par. Local Professionals, Dwayne Gibson and Dwayne Pearman continue their fine play with 1 over pars 71.
Andy Wright is leading the Amateur Division after recoding an impressive 2 over par 72 and one shot over defending champion Daniel Augustus who posted a 3 over 73.
In the Senior Division, local Jeffrey Lindo and US resident Glenn Kelly are tied for 1st place after recording respectable 5 over 75s. Millard Beach is in 3rd place with a 7 over 77.
Net Division – Open Amateur
Andy Wright has set the pace in the net division with a 7 under 63 and is leading by a commanding 4 shots over Simon Onabowale who came in at 3 under 67.
Net Division – Senior Amateur
Harold Madeiros is leading the Senior Net Division with a 2 under 68.
