Canada Day Event

3 July 2008

Having finishing second for the third consecutive event leaves a bitter sweet taste in my mouth. Teeing off at 730am in the morning, completing the round before the last group had teed off allowed me to spend some time with the family at Milton’ local Canada Day celebration between the playoff.

Jumping on inflatable castles, riding the train, petting snakes and eating some of Milton finest local candy apples was the highlight of the day.

Spending those priceless moments with my family was the “sweet taste” after “just” loosing in the playoff. I know that you can’t just loose a playoff you either win or loose; during the first playoff i had left the first putt 85% of the ball hanging over the edge. It looked like something from a Tiger commercial but the ball didn’t fall.

Building on the 18 greens in regulation and 6 birdies, I look forward to playing during the next three weeks preparing for the Open qualifier and the PGA Championship, I guess second place in the Open wouldn’t be so bad!
