Tip of the month
13 April 2007Confidence, Part 1:
Start the year off by changing your practice routines on and off the course. A common mistake all golfers make before the round is on the putting green, and can lead to permanent damage of your game. There are two key ingredients to perform well on the putting green that day: confidence and the correct speed.
Therefore, stop practicing putting to a single hole with three different balls, just like every other golfer. Always bring a single ball to the practice green along with a tee.
Place the tee in a area that will have a variety of different breaks, start by placing the ball at 2 foot increments and putt to the tee. Doing this simple exercise will increase your confidence and will make the first putt of the day look like you are putting into a peach basket.

Danny,
I was reading your page on the cpga website and you were talking about your practice routine. You mentioned eye exercises. What kind of exercises do you do? Or is there anywhere I could find some golf specific exercises for my eyes?
Thanks in advance
Hi Geoff, I currently work with sports physiologist from the UK by the name of Dr.Karl Morris, i have developed a routine of exercises from the start to finish of every round .
It’s changed the way I play golf
Thanks
