Danny King repeats at CPGA Club Pro Championship
22 November 2006Danny King, Head Teaching Professional at Magna Golf Club and Wellington Financial’s corporate emissary on the links, came from behind today with a strong 5-under 67 to win the Canadian PGA Club Pro Championship at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. With 71 Canadian club professionals playing in the tournament, you have to believe Danny has something special to offer golf in Canada.
Here is Danny’s blog from the 19th hole:
“I started the day with a birdie on the 2nd hole and narrowly missed another on the 3rd hole. Knowing the 4th hole is a reachable par five, I made eagle and proceeded to make another birdie on the 6th and 8th. We turned the front nine at three under with a little bad luck on the ninth. Knowing the wind was a big factor I continued to hit good shots, birding the 14th and the 16th. This win was so important to me and my family! Thanks Wellington Financial!”
