Venture Capital Crisis in Canada?
12 March 2008The March 17th issue of Canadian Business magazine features a great piece on the current funding “crisis” in Canada. Mark McQueen of Wellington Financial and a number of our industry colleagues have some well thought out ideas and while some headway was made when the federal government announced their budget late February (see “Stikeman Elliott on budget fixes for entrepreneurs“) , there is still a lot that needs to be considered in order to ensure the necessary funding is available to Canada’s next generation companies.
