1st annual charity golf tournament

26 February 2008

Mark Groulx was kind enough to post a question yesterday looking for details about our first annual Wellington Financial Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament. Here they are:

Date: Wednesday, May 21st
Place: Eagles Nest Golf Club, just north of Toronto
Time: Noon, with a dinner to follow golf
Format: Best ball within your foursome or play your own
Will it take 6 hours to play a round?: No. We’ve reduced the number of foursomes traditionally sold at charity tournaments to speed up playing time
Charities: Jean Tweed Centre, the Sunnybrook Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a 3rd charity to be named
Special Guests: Danny King, a professional golfer from Milton, Ontario who has played in the last two Canadian Open PGA tournaments and (TBC) Richard Scott, of Kingsville, Ontario, a member of the 2008 Canadian Tour who has also played in the last two Canadian Open PGA tournaments.
Event M.C.: Kim Bozak, Chair of the Board of our Charitable Foundation

A deep & special thank you to our event sponsors. They make it all happen: Deloitte, BMO Bank of Montreal, RBC Capital Markets, Aird & Berlis LLP, Comerica Bank, Goodmans LLP, Chaitons LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers, VentureLink LP, BMO Harris Private Client, CIBC World Markets, Growthworks, Labarge Weinstein, Mark & Andrea McQueen and Family, Minden Gross, Stikeman Elliott LLP.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Please contact Amy at 416-682-6002.
