BIOX Corp.
Oakville, ON

Headquartered in Oakville, Ontario, BIOX is the owner of the BIOX Process, originally developed by Dr. David Boocock at the University of Toronto. The proprietary process converts a wide variety of inputs into biodiesel, an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, biodegradable and renewable fuel that can be used as an alternative to petroleum diesel. BIOX currently operates a commercial-scale production facility located in Ontario. This 67 million litre annual capacity plant is the largest continuous flow biodiesel production facility in the world and BIOX has plans to build and own additional plants in other attractive markets based on factors such as the recent federal regulation requiring a blend of 2% renewable fuel content in all diesel fuel sold in Canada by 2012.

In 2010, Biox raised $50 million in an initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
